Commodity Trader - Agri Business

Job brief

In this role you will manage the full trading cycle for Crude Palm Oil, from physical sourcing to price-risk hedging, while turning market insight into better margins. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a trader who is comfortable owning positions and building strong relationships across the industry.

Responsibilities

• Risk Management & Heading: Mitigate financial risks and price volatility by actively executing heading strategies (futures, option, swaps), primary on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives (MDEX).
• Physical Sourcing & Trading: execute and manage the end-to-end physical procurement and trading of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) sectors.
• Market analysis: monitor, analyze, and forecast global supply-demand fundamentals, macro-economic factors, and price trends to optimize trading margins.
• Relation management: build and maintain strong commercial relationships with palm oil mills, refineries, international trading brokers, and international stakeholders.

Requirements

• Fluent Thai and English.
• Bachelor degree in Economics,Statistics, finance or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Soft-commodity trading, with proven track record specifically handling CPO. Open cross -functional commodity industry such as Sugar, Petrochemical, or related to agri-business sector.
• Solid skill and knowledge of future markets derivative instruments, hedging & risk management, is required.
• Ideally in their early 30s with strong analytical skill, risk assessment and individual contribution.
