Data Scientist

In your role as a data scientist, you will support our customers with the development of new data-based decision-making platforms and thus open the way to a data-driven business model. As an expert, you will also be involved in the acquisition of projects and be part of an interdisciplinary team. You are the central contact person in your specialist area and design solutions together with our domain experts and programmers. Your work as an expert at Polar Analytics is diverse and ranges from data exploration, data processing and feature engineering to the selection of suitable machine learning algorithms and processes.

What we expect from you

• Very good technical degree, ideally in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering
• Relevant professional experience in the areas of machine learning, pattern recognition, statistical modeling, regression, clustering, classification
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and time series analysis
• Experience in using tools for data visualization and design of dashboard concepts
• Basic programming experience with rapid prototyping tools such as R and/or Python (Pandas, SciKit), as well as Java and SQL
• Result-oriented way of working, paired with enthusiasm for innovation and agility, as well as very good German and English skills
