About the job Lead MCC Engineer
In this role, you will support the MCC Manager in ensuring the highest level of fleet airworthiness, technical dispatch reliability and operational performance. You will oversee day-to-day Maintenance Control Centre activities, coordinate maintenance control functions across the fleet and provide technical guidance to MCC Engineers, ensuring maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate daily MCC activities to ensure safe and efficient fleet operations
- Monitor the technical status of aircraft and maximize fleet dispatch reliability
- Review, assess and monitor aircraft defects, deferred defects and MEL items, ensuring timely rectification within approved limits
- Coordinate maintenance activities and technical support during AOG situations and operational disruptions
- Monitor repetitive defects and support the implementation of corrective actions
- Analyze and report technical delays and support initiatives to improve operational performance
- Maintain effective communication between MCC, CAMO, Flight Operations, IOCC and contracted maintenance organizations
- Coordinate maintenance priorities and support operational continuity across the fleet
- Participate in fleet technical review meetings and monitor maintenance performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, approved maintenance data and applicable aviation regulations
- Support Safety Management System (SMS) activities, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with audit follow-up activities and implementation of corrective actions
- Perform aircraft inspections when required
Requirements
- University degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or a related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience as Certifying Staff or previous experience within MCC, CAMO or Maintenance Control functions
- Strong knowledge of EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-145 and Part-21 requirements
- Good understanding of airline maintenance operations and aircraft technical status management
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment
- Proactive, collaborative and detail-oriented approach
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
