Job Summary:
As the Director of Analytics, you will lead and grow a high-performing team responsible for delivering data insights that influence key business decisions. You will oversee the development of reporting and analytics frameworks, data governance processes, and scalable BI solutions, while also leveraging your engineering background to ensure robust data pipelines and architecture. You will work cross-functionally with various departments, including product, marketing, finance, and operations, to transform data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the overall data analytics strategy, including BI dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to support business needs.
- Manage a team of data analysts and data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure scalable data architectures, reliable ETL processes, and quality data governance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics projects that drive business growth and efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all analytics processes.
- Implement advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, A/B testing, and machine learning, where applicable.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the success of analytics initiatives and their impact on business performance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics, BI, and data engineering to continually enhance the companys data capabilities.
- Oversee the integration of various data sources into a centralized data warehouse to enable seamless reporting and advanced analytics.
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making is embedded across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 8-15 years of experience in analytics, BI, or data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical skills in analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data manipulation (SQL, Python, R).
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- A solid understanding of data engineering principles, including pipeline development and database architecture.
- Proven experience in delivering actionable insights that influence business strategy and operations.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics methodologies such as predictive modeling, segmentation, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and data science platforms.
- Exposure to DevOps practices in a data engineering context.
