Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Project Leader, the appointee is required to assist in supervising the Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) projects and carry out duties of a BSI under the direction of Project Leader;
  • Carry out full time supervision of off-site works including the monitoring of the workmanship of all off-site work activities and conducting testing off-site;
  • Monitor the standard of workmanship against the contract documents and good building practice in HK conforming to the relevant BS or Code of Practice as specified;
  • Identify and immediately report for any discrepancies in the contract documents such as drawings and specifications;
  • Responsible for the upkeep of site records including site record books and submission of all monthly returns;
  • Supervise of the BS on-site installation works. To monitor labour resources, progress, materials, and equipment used on site; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from the HK Polytechnic / HK Polytechnic University / HK Technical College / HK Technical Institute / HK Institute of Vocational Education / Construction Industry Council in HK / HK Institute of Construction, or equivalent; and
  2. At least 8 years of relevant experiences including 4 years working experience in the capacity of Building Services Inspector or equivalent; and
  3. Must attained language proficiency requirements of Level 2* or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HK Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE)/ HK Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent. [Note * Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]
  4. Must possess the following valid safety training: i) Occupational Safety and Health Management Course; ii) Basic Accident Prevention Course; iii) Construction Industry Safety Card Course (Green Card); and iv) Certified Worker Training Course for Confined Spaces.
  5. Relevant experience in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) Works will be an advantage
