Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and effective Working Capital Finance Originator to drive business development efforts in the SME and MME segment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of working capital finance solutions, with specific emphasis on receivables finance or factoring, and a robust referral network. The originator will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Origination: Source, structure, and execute receivable financing solutions to address working capital needs for SME and MME firms across a range of industries. Collaborate with internal credit teams to structure and close transactions.
- Business Development: Identify and prospect SME and MME firms for receivables finance opportunities.
- Networking: Build and maintain a network of referral partners, including CPA and law firms, financial advisors, bankers, and brokers, to generate deal flow.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, and senior financial decision-makers within target companies to understand their capital needs.
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive
- Portfolio Growth: Proactively manage a growing portfolio of clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities to expand relationships.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in working capital finance, asset-based lending, supply chain finance, or commercial banking within the middle market.
- Sales Skills: Exceptional business development and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Track Record: Proven ability to originate and close Receivables Finance deals within the middle-market space.
- Client Relationships: Established client base of SME and MME firms, and an active network among CPAs, Law firms, brokers and financial decision-makers is essential.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of working capital finance products and the ability to structure financial transactions.
- Education: Bachelors degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial products in a clear and compelling way.
