Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, manage, and optimize our IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our client's financial technology systems. In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise to build scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions that support our client's investment management and alternative finance platforms. You'll work collaboratively with technology, operations, and compliance teams to deliver robust solutions aligned with our mission to empower investors.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Maintenance
   • Develop and maintain resilient infrastructure systems to support Our Client' core operations, including investment platforms, data analytics tools, and client portals.
   • Optimize systems to meet performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
2. Cloud Infrastructure Management
   • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to support financial systems.
   • Implement cost-effective strategies to scale systems while maintaining performance.
3. Automation & Scripting
   • Implement infrastructure automation
   • Write and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
4. Monitoring & Troubleshooting
   • Establish and manage monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance of applications, servers, and networks.
   • Diagnose and resolve system issues to minimize downtime for investment operations.
5. Security & Compliance
   • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure adheres to financial industry security standards and compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, GDPR, and SEC regulations.
   • Implement best practices for protecting sensitive investment and client data.
6. Collaboration with Technology Teams
   • Partner with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of infrastructure solutions into Our Client technology ecosystem.
   • Support deployment pipelines and ensure operational readiness for new initiatives.
7. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
   • Design and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal disruption to investment operations.
   • Conduct regular testing and updates of recovery protocols.
8. Documentation
   • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides to support compliance and internal audits.
9. Capacity Planning
   • Assess current infrastructure utilization and forecast future needs to support Our Client' growth.
   • Propose and implement strategies to scale resources effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably in financial services or investment management.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with an emphasis on cost and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with compliance standards in the financial sector (e.g., SOC 2, SEC regulations).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or CISSP.
• Experience supporting financial applications, trading platforms, or data analytics systems.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
