About the Managing Director Position:
The firm is currently looking for a talented, ambitious, and well-networked Sales Executive who will succeed as a member of the firms Enterprise Sales team. The firm is a global SaaS company that is changing the way companies manage their cash and working capital. They are seeking a candidate who has the experience, skills, and motivation to help build and grow a business within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Managing Director will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer and have regular interaction with executive stakeholders.
Essential Duties:
· Business Development: The primary responsibility for this role is to sell to a target list of large corporates, bringing them onto the firms platform as net new logos. It is a hunter role. The successful candidate with have a proven track record of selling complex (multi-stakeholder) SAAS, financial or procurement technology products or alternate working capital and cash management solutions related to Accounts Payable e.g., Dynamic Discounting, Factoring, Supply Chain Finance etc. to executive audiences such as the CFO or other C-suite executives. The primary target is the office of the CFO (including Treasury and Procurement).
· Relationship Management: Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with clients and prospects selling financial or working capital solutions. Demonstrated success generating business from cold prospecting within your list of named accounts. In-depth understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by large enterprise clients. The firm has a strong partner ecosystem, particularly with banks and strategic advisory firms and so the role will require collaboration with external partners to achieve sales goals.
· Client Travel: Travel to support the needs of the business as required including industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting brand awareness and cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Financial Acumen: Exceptional financial acumen and a background and understanding of financial market dynamics. Deep understanding of the Supply Chain Finance industry. Aptitude for qualitative and quantitative data analysis and acumen for financial management concepts (P&L and Balance Sheet). Knowledge and understanding of financial operating metrics, short-term cash management and working capital best practices.
· Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with global colleagues, stakeholders and partners to create a result driven, team-oriented environment. Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement sales strategies targeting high-profile clients and key market segments.
· Initiative: Self-starter who can drive new business opportunities in our target accounts.
· Communication: The ability to articulate a value proposition to a broad range of organizational and functional levels. Strong executive presence, confidence, and presentation skills.
· Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
· 9+ years of years of enterprise-level sales experience interacting with C-level executives across multiple departments.
· Fortune 100 level sales experience required.
Preferred Experience:
· Experience working in smaller, fast growth fintechs is highly desired.
