About the Job:
Our client is seeking an intelligent, creative, and motivated individual to join the Firms institutional client services team in Darien, CT. The Senior Associate/Vice President role provides a unique opportunity to learn about a variety of alternative investment strategies, as well as excellent exposure to all areas of Our Client's business. The Senior Associate/Vice President will work in a team-oriented environment and will interact with peers as well as with senior members of the Firms leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses strong intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to learn about the Firms businesses. The Senior Associate/Vice President must be able to:
- Work independently and in group settings with minimal supervision.
- Organize multiple tasks and manage relationships with both internal and external professionals.
- Manage projects from inception to completion.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with junior and senior professionals across the Firm.
- Ask questions and seek greater knowledge about aspects of the Firms business that may be unfamiliar.
- Apply strong interpersonal, quantitative, and technical skills effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analyses on client investment portfolios, industry topics, and competitors.
- Provide diligent, detailed preparation of RFPs and RFIs.
- Edit and update marketing materials for all fund and service offerings.
- Update databases and internal data rooms to support marketing efforts.
- Create and update reports using the companys CRM and investment software.
- Communicate professionally with investors, clients, and external service providers as required.
- Mentor and train junior members of the Client Service team.
- Work closely with the Head of Client Service on firmwide initiatives, technology projects, and process re-engineering efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with a strong undergraduate track record (preferably in finance, accounting, marketing, and/or economics).
- 5-8 years of work experience in finance, marketing, or related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Systematic approach to organization and prioritization.
- Confidence to interact with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience at a Private Equity or Private Credit business.
- Experience with MSCI Private i, DealCloud, Preqin, and/or Pitchbook.
