Position Summary:

Flint Group, a leading global supplier to the printing and packaging industry, is seeking a dedicated Associate Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems that support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and upgrade control systems.
  • Assist teams in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Document electrical systems through wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Write clear and concise programs (Ladder Logic, Basic, Excel Macros, etc.) with detailed remarks.
  • Improve safety-related systems.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring they meet budgets, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to estimate material, labor, and construction costs.
  • Participate in or co-lead project teams, using formal meeting procedures.
  • Provide guidance on electrical/electronic issues.
  • Develop and maintain drawings and documentation for electrical systems within the plant.
  • Install, maintain, service, and design electronic systems.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment control systems and logic.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new knowledge.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards and circuit design/analysis.
  • Proficiency in reading and manipulating electrical instruments for troubleshooting or designing circuits.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • Familiarity with coding, particularly Excel to PLC ladder logic.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred, with plans for a Bachelors Degree considered a plus.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts, Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Additional Information:

  • Relocation to Arden, NC 28704 is required before starting work.
  • 25% travel may be required (Preferred).
