Position Summary:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering and production support at Flint Asheville, a site dedicated to several businesses in the printing industry. The role involves leading continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, throughput, and quality by collaborating with engineers, maintenance technicians, operators, and contractors. Approximately 5% travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) efforts to ensure a safe work environment compliant with governmental safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to test Process/Project components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Conduct product testing, model creation, and prototype development.
  • Involvement in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of Process/Project products.
  • Identify deficiencies in processes and develop improvements.
  • Manage all phases of projects, including creating Requests for Expenditure (RFEs), using SAP and Ariba to generate purchase orders, and tracking project expenditures.
  • Assist in HSE Flint Ramboll and Musk Safety Projects.
  • Use quality and efficiency data to justify capital investments.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Process/Project Engineering

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering (Required)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Required)
  • Familiarity with CAD software; SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry, calculus, and physics.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication (oral and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills.
  • SAP skills are strongly preferred.
