About the job BA-1070 Business Analyst
The Business Analyst will work as part of the Digital Shared Services team to support the analysis, implementation, testing, and adoption of digital health solutions across the provincial healthcare sector.
The resource will act as a bridge between clinical/business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, documented, translated into system requirements, tested, and successfully implemented.
The role requires extensive healthcare business analysis experience, with particular emphasis on clinical workflows, homecare systems, Sunrise Altera, PROCURA mobile software, clinical documentation, client registration, and digital dictation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Work directly with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and current-state workflows.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and process reviews.
- Document business, functional, and system requirements.
- Analyze current-state and future-state processes.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, business requirements, and related documentation.
- Identify business, process, system, and capability gaps.
- Translate clinical and operational requirements into actionable technology requirements.
- Validate requirements with stakeholders and obtain appropriate approvals.
Healthcare Workflow Analysis
- Analyze healthcare workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Work with clinical stakeholders to understand the impact of proposed technology changes.
- Assess workflow dependencies, operational impacts, and implementation considerations.
- Support the design and implementation of solutions that improve healthcare delivery and information management.
Software Implementation
- Support the implementation of healthcare information systems and software solutions.
- Participate in solution design, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
- Work with technical teams, vendors, clinical users, and project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Identify and document issues, risks, dependencies, and requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Lead and coordinate software testing activities.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, testing estimates, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Coordinate testing with business and clinical stakeholders.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing as appropriate.
- Document test results, defects, issues, and resolutions.
- Support defect triage and resolution activities.
- Validate that implemented solutions meet approved business and clinical requirements.
Change Management & Adoption
- Support change management and organizational readiness activities.
- Work with stakeholders to assess the impact of system and workflow changes.
- Support communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and implementation activities.
- Apply change management practices to support successful adoption of new technologies and processes.
Project & Implementation Support
- Participate in project planning and implementation activities.
- Work within established project management and governance methodologies.
- Provide status updates and identify issues requiring escalation.
- Maintain accurate project and business analysis documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, vendors, clinical stakeholders, and other business analysts.
