Job Title: Project Manager – Digital Health
Location: Remote (within Canada)
Client: Shared Health (Government of Manitoba)
Duration: July 2, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (with extension option until March 31, 2027)
Work Hours: 7.75 hours/day (with potential for additional hours up to 10%)
Overview
Shared Health is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Digital Shared Services initiatives focused on transforming healthcare delivery through innovative information and communication technologies. The successful candidate will lead complex healthcare IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules for healthcare initiatives
- Monitor project performance, risks, and issues, and provide regular updates to steering committees and stakeholders
- Lead software development projects using both traditional and Agile methodologies
- Drive organizational change management initiatives using structured frameworks such as PROSCI (ADKAR)
- Develop detailed business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and strategic recommendations
- Oversee implementation of staff scheduling/workforce management systems, including HR/payroll integration and reporting standardization
- Manage projects related to patient safety systems and critical incident reporting solutions
- Coordinate implementation of physiological monitoring devices in healthcare environments
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams and, where applicable, other project managers
- Facilitate collaboration across clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders
Mandatory Qualifications (Pass/Fail)
- Valid PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Valid PROSCI (ADKAR) Change Management Certification
Required Experience & Skills
- 15+ years of project management experience in a healthcare environment
- Proven experience delivering large-scale projects, including at least one project director role overseeing multiple project managers
- 7+ years managing healthcare software development projects, including Agile methodologies
- 5+ years implementing structured change management strategies (e.g., PROSCI)
- 3+ years developing business cases with multi-site stakeholder input
- 3+ years managing staff scheduling/workforce management system implementations
- 2+ years working on patient safety and incident reporting system implementations
- 1+ year experience with physiological monitoring device projects
Preferred Competencies
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience working within public sector or provincial healthcare systems
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments
