About Shared Health & the Process Improvement Office (PIO)
Shared Health leads the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. We also support province-wide health services and provide centralized administrative functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Process Improvement Office (PIO) partners with the Ministry of Health to optimize health system processes and enhance efficiencies across Manitoba. Collaborating with the Department, Service Delivery Organizations, educational institutions, and clinical experts, the PIO ensures healthcare resource needs and priority initiatives are met.
We seek an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic and sustainable healthcare initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven project and healthcare leadership expertise across clinical delivery and business functions, enabling the work of partner organizations while driving impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage information technology projects in a healthcare environment using the PRINCE2 delivery methodology.
- Implement and support healthcare information systems within clinical settings.
- Oversee software and application development initiatives, including integration between healthcare solutions.
- Manage large-scale provincial public health information system upgrades.
- Implement or upgrade provincial client registry solutions integrated with multiple healthcare systems.
- Drive process change and service implementations within Emergency Response Services.
- Lead organizational change management activities, including impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, change management planning, and communications planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Mandatory Certifications (Proof Required):
- PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification (Valid)
- PMP Certification (Valid)
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) Certification
Education & Training:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Risk Management Training
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years managing IT projects in healthcare using PRINCE2 methodology
- 10+ years implementing/supporting healthcare information systems in clinical environments
- 3+ years experience in software or application development, including healthcare solution integration
- 1+ year experience upgrading large-scale provincial public health information systems
- 1+ year experience implementing provincial client registry solutions
- 3+ years experience with Allscripts DB Motion in a healthcare setting
- 3+ years experience leading projects in Emergency Response Services
- 5+ years leading organizational change management initiatives
