Data Analyst (Hybrid - To Be Determined)

Working on various data analytic day to day operational maintenance to develop, debug, and maintain informatica software applications and business objects solutions to support the business needs. You will be involved in operational activities, providing support on incident analysis and resolution. You will  be required to work with a large amount of data and be able to extract, transform and load the data Into Insightful Information for the business. Must be comfortable in working extensively with Project Management, Application, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering teams as well as external vendors and IT partners to obtain Insightful Information for the organization. The role requires that you will be available after hours to ensure successful execution of all daily scheduled Informatica workflows and jobs.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Business Unit Support:
    • Acts as the Enterprise Information departments Data Analytics expert
    • Understands and extracts meaning from complex data relationships and develops reports to enable effective use of the resulting knowledge
    • Utilizes data models to generate profiles that allow us to customize our service offerings to the specific needs of each Member based on their profile
    • Develops predictive modelling and trend analysis tools that anticipate Member needs and provide real-time solutions to meet those needs
    • Provides training support for the use of new reports and tools
  • Data Warehouse and ETL:
    • Design, develop, implement and support corporate data warehouse.
    • Technical design of data warehouse storage, ETL and staging environments.
    • Define user interfaces for support of ETL procedures
    • Design, develop and implement corporate reporting
    • Support business users and provide production support
  • Reporting / Analytics:
    • Lead the development and enhancement of reporting services to encompass greater use of forward looking predictive elements
    • Assist with data gathering strategies to ensure alignment with corporate goals and objectives
    • Identifies new opportunities for data gathering to fill gaps in existing models and/or enhance models in order to drive higher levels of performance throughout the organization
    • Design and enhance data models to analyze and predict future Member behaviours enabling us to proactively meet client needs
  • Operational Maintenance/Support
    • Monitor and ensure successful execution of all daily scheduled Informatica workflows and jobs.
    • Proactively Identify and resolve job failures or performance Issues to maintain workflow and job completion.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and short/long term remediation to prevent recurring Issues.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance process and Introduce automation to reduce manual Interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum education level, Bachelors degree in computer science; or related
  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience with Data Warehousing and Analytics concepts and software tools
  • Proficiency In ETL tool Informatica
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience with Relational databases
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience with Software Methodology
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders
