Summary:
An Account Manager is responsible for managing existing accounts, hunting new customers, and performing all administrative tasks with responsibility for meeting & exceeding both revenue and gross profit targets for all critical lines of business within the company portfolio.
The essential duties include, but are not limited to, managing existing customers, growing the customer account base found within personal territory, increasing linkage share within existing accounts, and building long-term professional relationships within the customer base.
In addition to the above, the Account Manager will also be responsible for the following:
· Coordinating all pertinent company departments (Presales, PMO, delivery, managed services) to successfully close new business
· Maintaining a regular onsite visit cadence with an existing account base
· Creating good rapport with customers at multiple levels to develop and maintain existing and foster net new relationships
· When called for, giving detailed customer presentations alongside presales
· Performing regular outbound phone calls to new prospects and existing dormant customer base
· In tandem with marketing generating and creating marketing activities to drive awareness, which may include assisting in creating and managing events.
Responsibilities:
· Driving new business opportunities within the existing account base increasing share of wallet (linkages)
· Recruiting new opportunities
· Acting upon leads provided within 24 hours.
· Maximize the profitability of each sale
· Sales of all critical LOBs - Product / Professional Services / Managed Services / SaaS / IaaS / DevOps
· Build strong professional relationships with manufacturer reps
· Increase total addressable market (TAM) within existing customer base
· Expand the local presence by participating in and attending partner and customer events
· Attending trade shows
· Recommending additional opportunities/markets/verticals helping to direct marketing activities
