Shared Health leads the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. It delivers province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

The Process Improvement Office (PIO) collaborates with the Ministry of Health to streamline processes and improve efficiencies in healthcare systems across Manitoba. The PIO partners with Service Delivery Organizations, educational institutions, and clinical experts to ensure healthcare resource needs and priority initiatives are effectively supported.

Role Overview: Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Health Care Retention and Recruitment Office (HCRRO) initiative. This role requires a strong leader with a track record in healthcare project management, process improvement, and transformational change. The successful candidate will drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, support partner organizations, and enhance healthcare service delivery across Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale, system-wide change initiatives within a complex, multi-jurisdictional healthcare environment.
  • Utilize structured methodologies (e.g., Prosci) to develop and implement organizational change management strategies and plans.
  • Oversee project scoping, design, team management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage interdependencies and challenges associated with delivering technology, business, and process changes.
  • Implement large transformational projects, including organizational and service redesign initiatives.
  • Facilitate improvements to physician administrative burdens.
  • Drive process and service improvements in healthcare environments (Acute Care, Primary Care, or Long-Term Care).
  • Cultivate relationships and demonstrate leadership that is flexible, adaptable, and culturally competent.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration (Proof required)
  • Degree in Engineering (Proof required)
  • Certification in Change Management (Proof required)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience utilizing structured methodologies such as Prosci to deliver organizational change management strategies.
  • 8+ years as a Project Manager in healthcare, overseeing project scoping, team management, problem-solving, and resource allocation.
  • 8+ years managing large transformational projects, including organizational and service redesign initiatives.
  • 5+ years leading process and service improvement projects in a healthcare setting.
  • 5+ years working in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment, with experience in relationship building and cultural safety.
  • 1+ year of experience facilitating improvements to physician administrative burdens.
