The Process Improvement Office (PIO) plays a critical role in streamlining processes and enhancing efficiencies in healthcare systems across the province. The PIO collaborates with the Ministry of Health, Service Delivery Organizations, educational institutions, and clinical experts to address healthcare resource needs and drive priority initiatives.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading large-scale healthcare transformation projects, ensuring strategic and sustainable outcomes. This role requires extensive experience in healthcare project leadership, process improvement, and clinical stakeholder engagement to support the objectives of the Health Care Retention and Recruitment Office (HCRRO).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage healthcare process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare service providers, and clinical experts to implement transformation projects.
- Develop and execute communication strategies for large-scale organizational changes.
- Oversee projects focused on community health, primary care, and physician administrative burden reduction.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience (Mandatory Requirements)
- Valid PMP Certification (Proof required)
- Valid ProSci (ADKAR) Change Management Certification (Proof required)
- Master of Science degree (Proof required)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 10+ years as a Project Manager delivering information systems and operational transformation projects.
- 7+ years managing healthcare process improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- 5+ years working with large clinical stakeholder teams (50+ members) for provincial clinical transformation projects.
- 5+ years developing and executing communication strategies for large-scale organizational changes, including experience in childrens healthcare.
- 3+ years leading community health and primary care projects to improve healthcare outcomes.
- 1+ year managing projects aimed at reducing physician administrative burdens.
- 1+ year implementing cardiovascular health projects, including strategic planning and execution.
Additional Considerations
- Governance and Board Competency Training (Finance) preferred (Proof requested).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience working with diverse healthcare teams, including frontline clinicians, physicians, and executive leadership.
