About the job Counsel Corporate
This position reports to the General Counsel, Public Company & Corporate Secretary.
Hours: Hybrid Model ( 3 days onsite in Mt Laurel, New Jersey)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements and perform legal analysis of risks associated with such agreements
Transactional responsibilities on mergers and acquisitions, including working collaboratively with other in-house counsel and operational leads
Interface with, and effectively managing, external counsel
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across operational groups
Support corporate functional groups including tax, finance, real estate, procurement and IT
Assist the internal compliance function and serve as a legal resource on compliance initiatives
Assist with the development, drafting and updating of corporate policies
QUALIFICATIONS
JD degree and admitted to practice law in at least one state
4+ years or relevant corporate legal experience subsequent to bar admission, with at least 2 years that being law firm experience
Ideally looking for CONSTRUCTION Industry experience.
Preferable experience includes: mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and public company matters, and corporate governance activities required by the local, state or federal regulatory compliance
Experience and knowledge of the construction industry is an asset
Fluent in Spanish is an asset.
