We are seeking a proactive Operations and Systems Administrator who will be critical in managing, optimizing, and securing IT environments. Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.

Administer and support Intune for device management, ensuring secure and seamless user experiences.

Oversee and maintain Azure-based solutions, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.

Configure, manage and monitor Hyper-V and VMware environments to ensure high availability and performance.

Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring compliance with best practices and RTO/RPO requirements.

Provide comprehensive support for Windows operating systems, including troubleshooting and upgrades.

Lead or assist with Windows OS migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Administer and manage Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to proactively monitor and maintain systems.

Develop and optimize automation scripts within the RMM platform to enhance efficiency.

Provide Level 2/3 support to resolve complex system and application issues.

Serve as an escalation point for operational issues related to cloud services, virtualization, and backups.

Monitor system performance, apply patches, and perform regular updates to ensure security and reliability.

Identify opportunities for system improvements, including automation and process enhancements.

Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Share knowledge with internal teams and clients to promote understanding and best practices.

Work closely with other IT teams to implement and support solutions that align with business needs.

Self-managed projects, ensuring timely completion and exceptional outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience

Post-secondary diploma in Computer Systems Technology or equivalent experience.

35 years of hands-on experience in system administration and support roles.

Proficiency with:

Microsoft Intune for device management.

Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).

Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and identity management.

Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms.

Backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, Azure Backup, or similar tools.

Windows OS support, including troubleshooting and project migrations.

Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool administration and optimization.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to self-manage and handle complex escalations effectively.

Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator, ITIL, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
