Location: Woolwich (Site Based)

Salary: £45,000 + Company Van

Hours: 7:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Overtime paid at 1.5x rate

A growing construction contractor delivering refurbishment and planned works programmes across MOD housing is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee live works in Woolwich.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role working closely alongside the Programme Manager to ensure projects are running smoothly, safely and on programme.

The Role

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across refurbishment works
• Ensure sufficient labour, subcontractors and materials are on site
• Coordinate contractors and direct staff
• Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations
• Ensure site compliance and quality standards are maintained
• Monitor progress against programme deadlines
• Report into the Programme Manager with regular site updates
• Resolve on-site issues efficiently and proactively

This is a fully site-based position requiring strong leadership presence and attention to detail.

The Candidate

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, planned works or housing projects
• Strong understanding of site compliance and H&S requirements
• Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and managing site teams
• Organised and deadline-focused
• SSSTS required
• CSCS card required
• Full UK driving licence
• Must be able to pass a DBS check (MOD contract requirement)

• £45,000 salary
