Location: Brixworth- The role requires travel and over night stays for events across the UK

Salary: £30,000 £38,000 ( this can be discussed based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

We have partnered with a dynamic events catering business that operates uniquely converted food buses at some of the biggest festivals and sporting events across the country. Their team thrives on creativity, teamwork, and a dash of humour, and they're looking for someone who can bring all these qualities to the table.

As the Event Operations Manager, you'll be the driving force behind their food bus operations at events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers leave with a smile. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of our food buses, ensuring everything from inventory to team management is on point.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, placing orders as needed to keep us fully stocked and ready to serve.
  • Organise logistics related to vehicle movement for events, making sure we're in the right place at the right time.
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures of the food trucks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Act as the first point of contact with event organisers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Act 1974 and Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations 2013, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the team, including cooks, servers, and other employees, providing leadership and support.
  • Support the team in the preparation and serving of food, ensuring high-quality service throughout.
  • Supervise your team during events, addressing welfare concerns and managing disciplinary matters when necessary.
  • Handle customer requests and complaints with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
  • Maintain food equipment, ensuring everything from refrigerators to cookware is in good working order.
  • Uphold high levels of cleanliness within all work areas.

What Were Looking For:

  • A full UK driving licence is essential, and a Category C Licence is a bonus.
  • Experience in the catering and hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and computer knowledge.
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Experience in cash handling and sales.
  • Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and overnight stays during events.
  • A minimum of Food Safety Level 2 certification.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods during events.
