Position: 2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to £31,000

Work Model: Monday to Friday, In Office

Working Hours: The helpdesk operates from 7 am to 7 pm, with a rotating shift pattern:

  • Early Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm
  • Normal Shift: 9 am - 5:30 pm
  • Late Shift: 10:30 am - 7 pm
  • Weekend support hours are from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, rotated among

Glasgows leading IT Services Provider, specializing in delivering business value through effective IT services and support, with a focus on digital transformation using the Microsoft 365 suite is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Provide technical support for incoming queries related to software, hardware, and
  • networking at a Level 2 capacity.
  • Utilise tools and technologies for ticketing, documentation, and communication, ensuring
  • seamless and efficient support processes.
  • Record all communications and activities in our ticketing system, ensuring comprehensive
  • notes and updates.
  • Independently manage and prioritize your ticket workload, demonstrating a dedication to
  • excellence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an IT support role.
  • A proven track record with a minimum of 2 years in an IT support role as a Level 2 engineer.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft will be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft stack (Windows client OS, Windows server OS, Microsoft 365).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
