Job Description:
Position: 2nd Line IT Support Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Up to £31,000
Work Model: Monday to Friday, In Office
Working Hours: The helpdesk operates from 7 am to 7 pm, with a rotating shift pattern:
- Early Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm
- Normal Shift: 9 am - 5:30 pm
- Late Shift: 10:30 am - 7 pm
- Weekend support hours are from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, rotated among
Glasgows leading IT Services Provider, specializing in delivering business value through effective IT services and support, with a focus on digital transformation using the Microsoft 365 suite is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Provide technical support for incoming queries related to software, hardware, and
- networking at a Level 2 capacity.
- Utilise tools and technologies for ticketing, documentation, and communication, ensuring
- seamless and efficient support processes.
- Record all communications and activities in our ticketing system, ensuring comprehensive
- notes and updates.
- Independently manage and prioritize your ticket workload, demonstrating a dedication to
- excellence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an IT support role.
- A proven track record with a minimum of 2 years in an IT support role as a Level 2 engineer.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA or Microsoft will be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft stack (Windows client OS, Windows server OS, Microsoft 365).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
