Position: Probate Solicitor

Salary: £40 000.00 - £50 000.00 (Commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on contentious probate matters, including disputes over will validity, inheritance claims, and estate administration issues.
• Managing a caseload of contentious probate cases from inception to resolution.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to assess the merits of clients' claims and defences.
• Drafting legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
• Representing clients in mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Handling court proceedings in the County Court or High Court, including preparing for hearings and trials.
• Providing strategic legal advice to clients to achieve favourable outcomes and protect their interests.
• Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as barristers and experts, to strengthen case strategies.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other parties involved in probate disputes.
• Keeping abreast of changes in probate law and court procedures to ensure the delivery of accurate and effective legal services.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in private client law, with a focus on contentious probate.
• Strong knowledge of probate law, inheritance disputes, and relevant legislation.
• Proven track record of handling complex and high-value contentious probate cases.
• Excellent litigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate persuasively on behalf of clients.
• Exceptional client management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional legal services and achieving successful outcomes for clients.
