A growing construction contractor delivering large-scale refurbishment works across MOD and housing association properties is looking to appoint a Project Manager to oversee live sites in Woolwich.

This is a hands-on, site-based role. We are looking for someone comfortable being on the ground, solving problems in real time and driving delivery - not a desk-based project manager.

You will take ownership of programmes, coordinate with site managers, and ensure projects stay on track, on budget and compliant.

The Role

• Manage and control project programmes
• Work closely with Site Managers to plan daily and weekly outputs
• Ensure labour, materials and resources are correctly allocated
• Set clear expectations on what needs to be achieved each day
• Monitor progress and keep works on schedule
• Identify delays early and implement recovery plans
• Maintain oversight of costs, timelines and resource planning
• Ensure projects meet compliance and quality standards
• Work closely with senior leadership on delivery and reporting

This role is delivery-focused and requires someone confident leading from the front on active construction sites.

What Were Looking For

• Several years experience as a Construction Project Manager
• Strong understanding of site operations and programme management
• Commercial awareness - able to understand budgets, costs and labour planning
• Confident working with Site Managers and subcontractors
• Ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Able to pass a DBS check
