Job Overview
Wirral MBC is seeking an experienced Trading Standards Officer for a 12-week contract.
The role will focus on statutory food standards and weights and measures inspections, alongside wider Trading Standards enforcement activity.
The successful candidate will investigate complex breaches of Trading Standards legislation, identify legal contraventions, assess risk, recommend enforcement action, prepare reports, conduct interviews, brief Legal Services and give evidence in court where required.

This is a Trading Standards Officer / Technical Enforcement role.
Candidates must have professional Trading Standards experience and be able to carry out statutory food standards and weights and measures inspections.
A professional CTSI qualification such as DTS/DCATS including Food and Legal Metrology modules, or equivalent, plus a university degree is required.

The Trading Standards service is seeking a contract Trading Standards Officer for a 12-week contract to carry out statutory food standards and weights and measures inspections.
Interview will be held online via Microsoft Teams.
