Job Overview
Barnet Council is seeking Environmental Health Officers to support the Public Health Noise and Nuisance Team during a period of increased service demand.
The role will involve investigating noise and nuisance complaints, pest infestations, fly-tipping, bonfires, construction site noise, amplified music, barking dogs and other environmental concerns.

This is an onsite Environmental Health / Noise and Nuisance Enforcement role.
Candidates must have technical Environmental Health, Licensing or enforcement knowledge and experience dealing with investigations, enforcement action, legal notices and case records.
There are no working from home options.
A Basic DBS is required.

Additional Information
This is an onsite role with no working from home.
The Public Health Noise and Nuisance Team is seeking two officers for a temporary period of 6 to 8 weeks.
The role may involve working between 08:00 and 20:00 and out-of-hours where required.
Interview will be held online.
Target interview date is 05 October 2026.
Candidate submission deadline is 02 October 2026.
The interview instructions state that a Basic DBS is required.
