Accountant (Express)

About Us: Join our dynamic team at FITS Express/UPS, a leading firm in International Courier and Logistics. We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Accountant to join our financial operations team and ensure accuracy in our financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring they comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain financial statements, reports, and records.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan financial regulations and standards.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of [2] years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan financial regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
