Warehouse Associate

 Job Description:

We have a great opportunity in Richmond, BC for an experienced Warehouse Associate who has great people skills for this temporary to permanent opportunity!

What you need to know:

Position: Temporary to Permanent

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Must be legally permitted to work fulltime in BC, Canada*
  • Must have Raymond Reach truck certification


Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices, and inspect them for damage or defects
  • Accurately record received quantities and update inventory systems accordingly
  • Properly store and arrange inventory in designated locations within the warehouse
  • Ensure items are labeled correctly
  • Regularly conduct inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Order picking and packing
  • Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery by selecting appropriate carriers, creating shipping labels, and arranging transportation logistics
  • Receive and process returns or exchanges as needed
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as Raymond Reach, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack, and transport materials
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about our products and services to customers; and a willingness to learn
  • Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner including addressing client inquires such as order status, payment, and refunds etc.
  • Responsible for accurately entering customer orders for existing and new customers
  • Work with branch team to ensure branch and showroom is merchandized and kept tidy and clean

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience working in a warehouse environment including previous experience with shipping/receiving, inventory control, and picking/packing
  • Raymond Reach certification required
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Great communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must be legally permitted to work full time in BC, Canada
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
