Warehouse Associate
Job Description:
We have a great opportunity in Richmond, BC for an experienced Warehouse Associate who has great people skills for this temporary to permanent opportunity!
What you need to know:
Position: Temporary to Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Shift: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Must be legally permitted to work fulltime in BC, Canada*
- Must have Raymond Reach truck certification
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices, and inspect them for damage or defects
- Accurately record received quantities and update inventory systems accordingly
- Properly store and arrange inventory in designated locations within the warehouse
- Ensure items are labeled correctly
- Regularly conduct inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels
- Order picking and packing
- Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery by selecting appropriate carriers, creating shipping labels, and arranging transportation logistics
- Receive and process returns or exchanges as needed
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as Raymond Reach, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack, and transport materials
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about our products and services to customers; and a willingness to learn
- Respond to customer service calls in a courteous and professional manner including addressing client inquires such as order status, payment, and refunds etc.
- Responsible for accurately entering customer orders for existing and new customers
- Work with branch team to ensure branch and showroom is merchandized and kept tidy and clean
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working in a warehouse environment including previous experience with shipping/receiving, inventory control, and picking/packing
- Raymond Reach certification required
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Great communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Must be legally permitted to work full time in BC, Canada
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
