About the job DT Application Sr. Specialist
Role Purpose
Responsible for developing, supporting, and continuously improving business applications, workflow automation, and digital solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 technologies. The role also supports application operations, ITSM processes, and AI-enabled productivity initiatives to enhance business efficiency and digital transformation capabilities across the organization.
Main Accountability
1. Application Development & Automation
* Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications using:
o Power Apps
o Power Automate
o Power BI
o SharePoint Online
o Microsoft Dataverse
* Develop workflows, dashboards, forms, and process automation solutions.
* Perform application enhancement, bug fixing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
* Support integration between Microsoft 365 solutions and related business systems where applicable.
2. Business Requirement & Solution Support
* Work with business users to gather and understand business requirements.
* Translate business requirements into functional solutions and basic technical specifications.
* Recommend suitable Microsoft 365 and automation solutions aligned with IT standards and operational needs.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user guidance materials.
3. Application Support & ITSM Operations
* Provide day-to-day application support and issue resolution for business applications.
* Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and application-related issues.
* Support ITIL-based operational processes including:
o Incident Management
o Problem Management
o Change Management
* Utilize ITSM tools such as Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or equivalent platforms.
* Maintain support records, operational procedures, and knowledge base documentation.
* Coordinate with vendors and related technical teams when required.
4. AI & Productivity Enablement
* Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI technologies to improve productivity and solution delivery.
* Support AI-enabled automation and digital improvement initiatives.
* Continuously explore new Microsoft and AI capabilities to improve business operations and user experience.
5. Governance & Security
* Ensure applications comply with IT governance, application security baseline, and access control standards.
* Follow organizational standards related to data protection, user permissions, and solution deployment.
* Support compliance with internal policies and operational procedures.
Experience
* 3–6 years of experience in:
o Power Platform development
o Microsoft 365 application development
o Application support operations
* Experience working independently on small-to-medium business application projects.
* Experience with ITSM processes and operational support activities.
Technical Skills
* Hands-on experience with:
o Power Apps
o Power Automate
o Power BI
o SharePoint Online
o Microsoft 365 platform
* Familiarity with:
o Microsoft Copilot
o AI-assisted productivity tools
o APIs and integration concepts
* Understanding of:
o Application security and access control
o ITIL and ITSM concepts
o SDLC and documentation practices
