Job Description

  • Research and Development: Conduct research projects to develop new and improved modified starch products and applications.
  • Experimentation: Design and execute experiments to test and validate new starch formulations and applications.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data and draw meaningful conclusions to guide product development and process improvements.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the R&D team to develop and optimize new starch products based on customer requirements and market demand.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams, including production, quality assurance, and sales.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of research activities, including experimental designs, results, and conclusions. Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Production, to ensure successful product development and commercialization.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements related to modified starch applications.
  • Innovation: Contribute to the innovation process by identifying and exploring new research opportunities in the modified starch industry.

Qualifications

  • Master or Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or related fields.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of product development experience in food applications or industrial applications.
  • Having experience working on modified starches, or hydrocolloids is plus.
  • Strong knowledge of carbohydrate chemistry and characterization techniques is plus.
  • Strong scientific background and technical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fair to Good command of English (both writing and oral communication)
  • Good in computer literacy
