CNC PROGRAMMER
About the job CNC PROGRAMMER
Responsible for the management, coordination, development, and continuous improvement of centralized off-line CNC programming. Interfaces with product engineering, manufacturing engineering and machine operators to maintain a reliable, accurate, and optimized machining system. Coordinates all activities under direction of Product Group Manager and documents all methods with Standard Operating Procedures
- Generate off-line programs for Milling, Turning, and other required production processes utilizing Fanuc Siemens and Mazatrol control.
- Coordinates with product engineering group for solid/CAD model and related engineering data.
- Works closely with product engineering to develop accurate engineering job packages and to implement new standards, methods, and tools (software, hardware, etc)
- Continuously improve machining productivity by conducting operator training courses to ensure that all improvement projects and technology is transferred to all relevant operators.
- Develop standard methods for programming, tool management, machine TPM, and related areas.
- Identify, specify, and procure all required tooling for manufacturing, including specialty tools for non-standard jobs.
- Continuously improve machining productivity by investigating, testing, and implementing advancements in machine and tooling technology.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer with general project management issues as required. Operation of machine tools in special circumstances to assist in training, projects, or to meet other production requirements.
- Continuing education to learn and stay familiar with latest CAD/CAM technologies and methods.
- Assist in identifying, justifying, and overseeing capital projects / implementation of new equipment.
- Stand-by for on call duty, provide immediate/prompt response to production team when required.
- Other duties as required to support the company vision. Process through active participation. Responsible for identifying problems and finding solutions for same; works to implement changes.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, Industrial, or related field
- At least 2 years experiences in 3D CAD/CAM software, preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Experienced in working with CNC machine.
- Good understanding of reading mechanical drawing.
- Good command in English both written and spoken
