Legal Counsel (Payment Gateways / E-Money)

Job Description:

The Legal Counsel will play a crucial role in navigating the complex regulatory landscape of payment gateways and e-money licensing in Thailand. This position involves close interaction with the Bank of Thailand regulations and requires a proactive individual who can effectively review and draft legal contracts while ensuring compliance with local laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on matters related to payment gateways, e-money licensing, and other financial services.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with the Bank of Thailand regulations and other relevant laws.
• Liaise with external regulators and advisors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Handle legal disputes and manage any litigation processes.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Law.
• Lawyer license valid in Thailand.
• 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal counsel, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in Thailand, particularly relating to payment gateways and e-money.
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in both Thai and English.
