About the Role

We're hiring a Mobile Engineer 2 to support commercial HVAC/R systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and general facilities maintenance across multiple assigned sites in the West Chester, Ohio area.

This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, emergency repairs, and operational support for commercial and industrial building systems. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with 480V 3-phase electrical systems, and the ability to work independently across multiple facilities.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM EST
  • Work Type: Fully Onsite / Mobile
  • Reporting Location: West Chester, Ohio
  • Travel: Multiple assigned facilities
  • On-call support required

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $34.00/hour

What You'll Do

HVAC/R & Mechanical Systems

  • Maintain and repair commercial HVAC/R systems and refrigeration equipment
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Support building mechanical systems and production equipment
  • Ensure systems operate efficiently and minimize downtime

Electrical Systems

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems
  • Work directly with 480V 3-phase electrical systems
  • Diagnose electrical issues safely and effectively
  • Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards and procedures

Plumbing & Building Maintenance

  • Service plumbing systems and building infrastructure
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs
  • Support operational upkeep across assigned facilities

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
  • Conduct facility inspections and equipment assessments
  • Document maintenance activities and findings
  • Recommend corrective actions and system improvements
  • Help minimize operational disruptions through proactive maintenance

Safety & Compliance

  • Perform hazard assessments at job sites
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company procedures
  • Maintain compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Conduct vehicle safety inspections and maintain safe driving practices
  • Escalate safety concerns appropriately

Administrative & Documentation

  • Update work orders within CMMS systems
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
  • Submit expense and purchasing documentation
  • Track labor, materials, and service activity
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management teams

On-Call & Emergency Support

  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules
  • Respond to emergency maintenance and repair needs
  • Support urgent facility and equipment issues professionally and efficiently
  • Make reasonable efforts to respond to after-hours support requests

Required Qualifications

Certifications & Licensing

  • Universal CFC/EPA Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in:

    • Commercial HVAC/R maintenance and repair
    • Refrigeration service and troubleshooting
    • Electrical diagnostics and repair
    • Building and facility maintenance
  • Strong 480V 3-phase electrical systems experience required
  • Experience in mobile or field-based maintenance environments preferred
  • Multi-skilled maintenance background strongly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Commercial refrigeration expertise
  • HVAC/R diagnostics and repair skills
  • Electrical distribution systems knowledge
  • Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred)
  • Understanding of plumbing and building systems
  • Familiarity with building automation systems preferred

  • Ability to carry tools and equipment while climbing ladders
