The project and your role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Engineer / PLC Programmer to join our team and work on innovative projects within the Biotechnology Industry.

You will play a key role in developing innovative machine software for the automated cultivation and analysis of 3D cell and tissue cultures. This project aims to revolutionize medical drug development testing by providing reproducible and affordable in-vitro tissue models of human organs.

Responsibilities:

• Owning software modules and (sub-)systems.
• Defining development roadmaps and milestones.
• Creating safety concepts and implementing their measures.
• Developing the software solutions for our highly innovative automation project in biotechnology.
• Defining and supervising test runs for newly developed machine parts and assemblies.
• Accompanying the commissioning of new machines in-house and at the customer's site.

Your skills

• Excellent knowledge of programming PLCs for production machines (ST in Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 preferred).
• Practical work experience in automation or robotics.
• Strong motivation to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Hands-on mentality and analytical solution-oriented thinking.
• Experience with safety concepts and their implementation.
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English. German is a plus.
