Our client is a leading Dates Manufacturing Company with an excellent reputation across the region.

 We are looking for an experienced Sales Development Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

 ROLE OVERVIEW

 The Sales Development Manager role is to continuously create new opportunities, drive business growth and maximize revenue generations through development of new strategic business partnerships in the GCC and Global Export Markets, with a clear aim to achieve challenging business targets year on year.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all sales development initiatives with a view of expanding the company’s footprint as a leading dates manufacturer and supplier; both within the GCC and global markets.
  • Partner with General Manager to design and execute customized sales development strategies for making inroads within new regions while being mindful of the advantages/ constraints attached to cultures, preferences, and regulations.
  • Tap into creative sales development avenues relevant to product portfolio including global/ regional food and beverage exhibitions, trade shows, fairs, and events.
  • Engage in strategic development-oriented conversations with internal/ external stakeholders to tap latent business opportunities and maximize sales revenue.
  • Embody an entrepreneurial mindset in identifying sales development opportunities focused on exploring new geographies, experimenting with product mix offerings, tapping new customer pools, and cross-selling/ upselling to key accounts for the company
  • Assess the development potential of existing company markets as well as accounts based on available sales data and research insights with an objective of deepening product and market penetration for identified regions/ key accounts.
  • Front-end the company's prospect engagement and pipeline generation efforts for the identified regions/ markets, customer accounts, and product categories.
  • Identify potential prospects in niche markets through focused analysis of the industry trends, competitor initiatives, and market dynamics; followed by leveraging of diverse outreach strategies and established competitive advantages.
  • Optimize the Prospecting v/s Conversion Ratios for assigned markets by building upon tested business examples/ cases for unique sales development scenarios.
  • Exhibit an exceptional knowledge of all Company products as well as target industry segments to communicate the differentiating value of the company and convert interested prospects into qualified leads thereby opening new vertical markets.
  • Engage with existing sales teams at the company to exchange leads, support sales delivery and drive continuous business development/ expansion.
  • Manage the assigned territory of prospect database of potential business alliances; primarily outside Saudi Arabia and within global markets in order to achieve:

·         Sales Budget (by product, by territory and individual budget).

·         Collection (target and timelines).

·         Gross Margin Target for Sales.

  • Close sales deals, ensure timely collection, ensure customer satisfaction and leverage long term solutions-oriented relationships using effective communication skills with organizations large and small.
  • Maintain and increase the market share for identified markets with a focus on new global geographies (number of clients, number of products sold to each client, volume of sales per product, etc.).
  • Devise innovative and creative marketing campaigns, promotions and drives for maximizing product reach and supporting sales process.
  • Ensure full compliance with market specific documentation requirements in line with statutory and legal guidelines for each market, especially internationally. 
  • Act as the coordinator between newly found business opportunities and General Manager while handling field of opportunities to achieve higher sales growth and/ or open new vertical markets for the company; including interaction with the Parent Company Management Board for select high-value business opportunities and sign-offs.
  • Manage and strengthen business relationships with new prospects as well as the existing key accounts in order to maximize revenue and outreach of company products.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer service and supervise the creation of marketing, sales and business development plans for customer accounts.
  • Negotiate, interact and liaise with local and overseas suppliers, mediating with the customers in direct and indirect sales as part of the sales initiatives.
  • Issue sales orders, follow-up order release, product/service delivery and collection.
  • Develop adequate sales proposals, presentations, exhibits and promotion materials. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for sales and collections, as required.
  • Maintain and update sales data and existing / prospective customer relation files.
  • Devise and adhere to agreed company policies and procedures relevant to the work environment of the role; including sales, collections, and finance procedures

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree
  •  Minimum 10 years of related Sales experience including International Sales
  •  At least 5 years’ experience in managing a Sales Development vertical for Agricultural Foods, preferably Dates  
  • Must have 8 years’ experience in GCC market - KSA preferred
  • Any Nationals bases in Saudi now (male only)

  • Fluency in English language is a must. Proficiency in Arabic and/or Foreign Languages would be an advantage.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
  • Monthly Total Package: 20k SAR per month as a guide
