FCS is actively searching for a Assistant Plant Manager for their top client in Milton, DE. POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Plant Manager will report to and work directly with the Plant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, responsible for heading continuous improvement initiatives, accessing production performance, and overseeing the maintenance of production equipment/machines.

Qualified Managers will have strong leadership qualities, coupled with direct experience working within an CNC Machining and Fabrication manufacturing environment. Experience creating processes to encourage improvements and implement new technologies for continuous improvement initiatives in safety, delivery, quality, and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Supervisor/Manager within CNC Machining, Welding / Fabrication, and/or related industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Must have excellent organizational and management skills, with ability to motivate and lead production teams.
  • Strong understanding of CNC Machining operations, with a technical acumen in troubleshooting, repairing, and operating CNC Machine Centers, Robotic Welders, Lasers, and Automated Equipment.
  • Understanding of G & M Code Programming, with demonstrated ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints, 2D/3D drawings, etc.
  • Oversee, and support Machine Operators in the set-up, programming, and operations of CNC Machining Centers.
  • Skilled at reviewing 2D/3D drawings, and ability to modify mechanical drawings using SolidWorks and/or NanoCAD software.
  • Experience driving Continuous Improvement programs, determining root causes for problems, and developing correct actions.
  • Manage and optimize resource allocation including manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production targets while controlling costs.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, conducts regular inspections, and implementing of corrective actions to maintain product quality.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and developmental guidance for all employees.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, and work in an environment with moderate noise levels.
