Summary

On behalf of our client we are seeking a high-performing Commercial Relationship Manager III to join its growing Miami Commercial Banking team. This role is designed for an experienced middle-market commercial banker with a strong business development mindset, solid credit acumen, and the ability to independently build and manage client relationships.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven hunter who thrives in a growth-oriented environment and has experience developing C&I banking relationships with companies typically ranging from $25MM+ in annual revenue. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative culture that combines the capabilities of a large financial institution with the flexibility and market focus of a local commercial banking team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new commercial banking relationships within the South Florida market
  • Originate and structure middle-market commercial and industrial (C&I) lending opportunities
  • Build a strong pipeline of new-to-bank business through centers of influence (COIs), referrals, and direct business development efforts
  • Generate commercial loan growth, treasury management opportunities, and deposit relationships
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through cross-functional bank partnerships
  • Conduct preliminary credit analysis and present well-vetted opportunities to credit leadership
  • Maintain strong market visibility and actively network with attorneys, CPAs, business owners, and referral partners
  • Collaborate with portfolio management, treasury management, operations, and credit teams to deliver a high-quality client experience
  • Manage client relationships with a consultative, relationship-focused approach
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on long-term relationship banking

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 6+ years of commercial banking relationship management experience
  • Proven experience originating and developing middle-market C&I relationships
  • Strong credit analysis and commercial underwriting knowledge
  • Demonstrated success generating new business and sourcing opportunities independently
  • Experience working with companies generally ranging from $25MM+ in annual revenue
  • Strong understanding of treasury management and deposit gathering strategies
  • Existing network of COIs and business relationships within the South Florida market preferred
  • Ability to structure and manage complex commercial banking relationships
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills
  • Stable career progression and demonstrated tenure within previous organizations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Experience in the management of Syndicated loans as well as in Middle Market Lending in the South Florida market concentrating on Miami-Dade county.
