Job Summary
The Assistant to the Board of Directors (BOD) will provide comprehensive administrative, strategic, and operational support to the BOD, ensuring seamless communication, efficient decision-making processes, and alignment with the firm's green transitioning investment strategy. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sustainable investing and a commitment to supporting the firm's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Board Meeting Coordination
Prepare agendas, presentations, and support materials for board meetings, ensuring all relevant information is accurate, timely, and well-organized.
Coordinate logistics for board meetings, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and travel planning.
Record, transcribe, and distribute minutes of board meetings, capturing key decisions, action items, and follow-up responsibilities.
- Administrative Support
Manage the BOD's calendar, scheduling appointments, and prioritizing engagements related to green transitioning investments and initiatives.
Handle correspondence, inquiries, and requests on behalf of the BOD, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
Maintain accurate records of board resolutions, policies, and governance documents.
- Strategic Initiatives
Assist the BOD in developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives aligned with the firm's sustainable investing goals.
Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in green transitioning industries to support board decision-making.
Monitor progress on key strategic objectives and prepare updates for the BOD.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a liaison between the BOD and internal teams, portfolio companies, investors, and external stakeholders.
Coordinate communications and information flow to ensure the BOD is well-informed on critical matters related to green transitioning investments.
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for investor and stakeholder meetings.
- Compliance and Governance
Support the BOD in maintaining strong corporate governance practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in developing and updating board policies, procedures, and guidelines related to ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) matters.
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to prepare and file necessary documents and disclosures.
Qualifications
- Experience:
2-5 years of experience in executive support, corporate governance, or a related field, preferably within the financial services or sustainability sectors.
Familiarity with board processes, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
Exposure to ESG principles or sustainable investing is a plus.
- Skills:
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Environmental Studies, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
