 Job Description:

Our client is a fee-only firm located in Greater Milwaukee, WI. They provide comprehensive financial planning and investment management services tailored to individuals and families, including high net worth and those just getting started. Our firm is seeking a paraplanner to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a strong desire to help clients achieve their financial goals. In addition, our paraplanner must have strong communication and time management skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to work well both in a team environment and independently, and excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, Redtail, or comparable programs). Minimum requirements are a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience related to financial planning or wealth management. CFP, CFP candidate or PFS credentials, prior financial planning experience, and experience with Fidelity and Schwab platforms are preferred. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a mature, hard-working, and knowledgeable contributor as a long-term career position or a pathway towards advancement into a full financial planner role within 18-24 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support financial planners in all aspects of the client relationship and financial planning process, including data gathering, analysis, and plan creation using financial planning software.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to gather necessary information, answer questions, and coordinate service needs.
  • Enhance client relationships through continual and regular client contact and correspondence; provide timely follow-up to all client inquiries, needs, and requests.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough client records and case notes, ensuring all compliance standards are met.
  • As experience and skills develop, and with the support of a financial planner, participate in client meetings and begin taking the lead on onboarding new client relationships.
  • Efficiently use and maintain various financial planning software, CRM tools, and other office technologies, and quickly adapt to new tools as they are introduced.
  • Work closely with other team members to provide the best possible client experience, including timely assignment of client follow-up tasks, soliciting advice and feedback from other team members and providing expertise as needed to other team members.
  • Interact with prospects and sources of new business, including attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence.
  • Participate in continuing education courses to maintain professional credentials and effectively perform the duties of the position.
  • Other duties, as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement planning recommendations, including custodial forms and applications.
