Associate Financial Advisor

 Job Description:

Our client is a boutique wealth management firm located in Fort Worth, TX. They are seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Advisor position contributes to the firms growth by ensuring exceptional service for both existing clients and prospects. This role demonstrates competency in investment and planning practices to develop financial plans and partner with advisers and team members to address the specific needs and service issues of clients. As well as acts as a relationship manager for house accounts and clients below $200K in AUM.

Supporting the Financial Planning & Investment Processes

  • Coordinate financial plan development, including initial financial plan data entry, development and working with financial adviser to develop recommendations
  • Create quarterly and/or annual client summaries of net worth, estate distribution, insurance, income tax, cash flow projections, and investments.
  • Monitor client financial plan and advise on changes that are necessary
  • Place trades as directed by supervisor / coordinate with investment management team to ensure execution of investment strategy
  • Adhere to all compliance/risk procedures, follow corporate and industry protocols, and protect the interest of the client and the firm at all times

Preparing for and Attending Client Meetings

  • Support financial advisers with client services, including preparation of well-polished documentation and presentation materials for meetings
  • Support preparation for client meetings, including preparing agendas and client meeting materials
  • Attend and participate in meetings with prospects, new and existing clients
  • Record meeting notes on topics covered, changes in clients needs, and action items
  • Summarize meeting and schedule action items in contact management software.
  • Complete all action items utilizing firm processes and procedures.

Act as Relationship Manager and Deliver Exceptional Client Services

  • Act as primary point of contact and adviser for house accounts under the direction of a senior adviser
  • Work in conjunction with the lead adviser to deliver services to clients
  • Work with advisers and team to ensure all actions for clients are tracked and completed
  • Lead initiatives focused on value-add content delivered to clients such as content marketing
  • Communicate and follow up regularly with clients about changes to their accounts.
  • Develop strong relationships and rapport with clients

Experience, Skills and Core Competencies

  • Bachelors degree
  • Financial services experience required; ideally in B/D or RIA environment
  • Completion of CFP® coursework and intention to obtain CFP® designation within 3 years
  • Competency in investment and financial planning with proficient technical capabilities
  • Advanced level computer skills; familiarity with eMoney, MGP, and Holistiplan software preferred
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A passion to help clients achieve their goals, and a desire to strengthen alliance partnerships to facilitate this work
  • Exhibits a strong desire to develop personal and professional skills, together with knowledge and understanding of investment philosophies and planning practices. This includes an interest in listening to industry podcasts and reading books to enhance knowledge
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and computer skills
  • Proactive team player able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits

  • 4 hours PTO accumulates per pay period plus 10 paid holidays (New Years, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, 2 days at Thanksgiving (Thur/Fri), 2 days at Christmas, (Eve and day), employee birthday.

  • Additional profit sharing via 401k based on company profitablity. Has been paid 3 of the past 4 years
  • Opportunity for 8-10% bonus based on reaching a blend of firm goals and individual achievements discussed and agreed upon each quarter. Bonus eligibility starts after 6 month learning period.
