Director of Advisory Operations
Job Description:
Our client is a rapidly growing boutique wealth management and tax group. We are seeking an experienced Director of Advisory Operations to lead the day-to-day management and operational execution of our wealth management firm. This individual will serve as a key leader and the primary liaison between the President/Lead Advisor and staff, ensuring the team operates efficiently, cohesively, and at a high level.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and directly manage staff, ensuring accountability, productivity, and alignment across the team
Lead, coach, and develop team members, fostering a positive, high-performing work environment
Act as the primary point of contact between the President and staff, handling day-to-day decision-making and team management
Implement and maintain operational processes, policies, and procedures consistent with industry best practices
Ensure smooth execution of workflows across the advisory business, identifying and addressing inefficiencies
Maintain familiarity with broker-dealer (Cetera) environments and advisory compliance standards
Oversee and optimize the firm's technology stack, including CRM and AI tools, to improve performance and scalability
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
7-10+ years of experience within an investment advisory or financial services firm
Strong leadership experience with direct responsibility for managing teams and day-to-day staff operations
Deep understanding of advisory firm operations, policies, and procedures
Broker-dealer experience preferred
Securities licenses are a plus
Technologically proficient, with experience leveraging CRM systems and modern tools
Experience with Redtail, AdviceWorks, NetDocuments, and MS Office suite is a plus

Comp/Benefits:
Base salary (commensurate with experience) $120k-$150k plus bonus based on performance
10 paid holidays
