Client Service Supervisor

About the Role
As a Client Services Supervisor, you will oversee the Client Services team, drive process improvements, and ensure an exceptional client experience. This role combines hands-on client service responsibilities, leadership, and strategic collaboration with upper management to enhance department performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all key responsibilities of a Client Services Specialist which includes but is not limited to new account openings, client account management, account contributions and distributions, and processing onboarding, death claims, and other special life events.
- Develop and implement individualized onboarding and training plans for team members.
- Supervise and manage work schedules for the Client Services Department.
- Provide regular feedback, set goals, and participate in performance evaluations.
- Lead weekly team meetings and conduct one-on-one check-ins with direct reports.
- Oversee client service projects, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
- Refine and optimize service workflows to enhance client experience.
- Act as a liaison between Client Services and upper management, preparing reports on team performance and department updates.
- Ensure confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity in handling client information.
What Were Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 years of client-facing experience in the financial industry.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, motivation, and team-building abilities.
- Expertise in client service processes, compliance, and financial operations.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members, with flexibility in teaching styles.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and ability to delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with DiSC® communication styles and emotional intelligence is a plus.
Certifications (or willingness to obtain on the job):
- FPQP® (Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional)
- SIE/Series 6/Series 63 or equivalent securities licenses
- Completion of in-house Supervisor Education Program
