Lead Financial Planner
Job Description:
Our client is a fee-only RIA seeking an experienced Certified Financial Planner (CFP) to join their team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in comprehensive financial planning, hands-on experience across various planning areas, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service in a collaborative, boutique environment.
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining long- lasting, trust-based relationships.
- Conduct in-depth financial needs assessments and develop comprehensive, tailored financial plans.
- Present financial strategies and recommendations clearly and confidently, ensuring clients understand their options and feel empowered in decision-making.
Technical and Analytical Responsibilities:
- Design and manage customized investment portfolios utilizing passive and active management strategies.
- Provide expertise in asset allocation, tax planning, estate planning, and retirement strategies.
- Leverage Orion Planning to analyze client scenarios and present actionable solutions.
- Utilize advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Operate effectively within platforms such as Fidelity Wealthscape, Schwab Advisor Center, and Orion for portfolio management and client servicing.
- Trade U.S. Treasuries, mutual funds, and ETFs as part of portfolio management and rebalancing strategies.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client plans and strategies.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes to financial regulations, sharing insights with the team.
Other Professional Requirements:
- Ensure all client interactions and financial strategies adhere to ethical, legal, and fiduciary standards.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions, plans, and follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, with expertise across a variety of client needs.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with Fidelity Wealthscape, Schwab Advisor Center, and Orion.
- Proficiency in Orion Planning to develop and present comprehensive financial strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with diverse clients.
- Ability to trade U.S. Treasuries, mutual funds, and ETFs effectively.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and industry certification.
