Client Service Associate
Job Description:
Our client is a rapidly growing wealth management firm located in Greater Detroit, MI. They are seeking a Client Service Associate to join their team. This person will provide an exceptional client experience by having personable and professional interactions with clients, creating efficiencies in processes, and by taking initiative to support the team. Become an expert in custodial management, utilizing the firms portfolio accounting system and our CRM program. Primarily support the wealth advisor team and serve as backup to existing client service and operations associates.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide organizational support to the wealth advisor team.
- Develop and maintain processes to leverage the advisor teams time.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and task management.
- Consistently track and proactively communicate progress on open items.
- Organize and maintain client data, firm documents, and compliance-related files.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience in every interaction.
- Continually look for ways to improve the client service experience and to create efficiencies in the way that experience is delivered.
- Respond expediently to inquiries from clients, their attorneys, and their CPAs.
- Work to effectively manage client expectations.
- Become an expert in working with Salesforce and Charles Schwab
- Develop a working knowledge of account types, account transfer procedures, and processing of custodial transactions.
- Create, process, track, and troubleshoot account-related paperwork required by Schwab
- Learn how to create client materials and extract data from Tamarac.
- Utilize our CRM program, Salesforce, for reports and client communication, and to maintain client information.
Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
- Preferably 1-3 years of experience in a client service-related role at a financial planning firm.
- Demonstrated financial literacy and ability to work with numbers.
- Strong proofreading and effective communication skills.
- Ability to maintain utmost discretion in working with sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
- Competency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new software and technologies.
Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary range ($75-$90k+), commensurate with experience
- Bonus opportunities available.
- 401k with match.
- PTO policy: 15 days off in thefirst 12 months of employment, and then unlimited PTO policy going forward.
- NYSE holiday calendar (10 days) and close the office for an extra day around July 4th and the day after Thanksgiving.
- Parental leave policy is 3 months paid. In the first 12 months its prorated based on days employed.
