Associate Financial Planner 

About Our Client:

Based in Dallas, TX, our client is a boutique firm that serves high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and retirees with a deep commitment to thoughtful, detail-oriented, and customized financial planning. They are seeking a Director of Financial Planning to join their growing team.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate directly with the founder and lead advisor to prepare and implement comprehensive financial plans.
  • Participate in and help lead client meetings, ensuring proactive communication and clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with our Client Service Manager to execute follow-ups, maintain CRM accuracy, and ensure seamless client experiences.
  • Support new client onboarding, discovery, and planning presentations.
  • Handle ongoing planning needs, including retirement projections, tax-aware cash-flow modeling, insurance and estate-planning coordination, and 401(k) plan reviews.
  • Partner with custodians and recordkeepers to ensure smooth plan implementation and account servicing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of firm processes and client-experience systems.
  • Demonstrate precision in documentation, calculations, and compliance record-keeping.

Who You Are

  • 3-5+ years of comprehensive planning experience.
  • CFP preferred
  • Exceptional communicator who enjoys collaborating with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Technically sharp and comfortable learning new systems quickly.

Qualifications, Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, or related field
  • CFP® Certification preferred
  • EA designation is a plus
  • Active Series 7 and 66 (or 7 + 63 and 65)
  • Texas Life & Health Insurance License

Experience

  • 3-5+ years building and presenting comprehensive financial plans
  • Background serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners
  • Experience with qualified-plan consulting and recordkeeper coordination preferred
  • Prior experience with LPL Financial or similar independent platforms is a plus

Technology Environment

We leverage modern financial planning, tax analysis, and CRM platforms to deliver an integrated client experience.
Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as planning, tax, and risk-assessment software is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Primarily in-office at our Dallas location
  • After an initial training period, remote work is available on Mondays and Fridays
  • During client-review surges, full in-office attendance is required to maintain service excellence
  • Private office environment with a collaborative, high-performance team

Salary and Benefits
