Financial Services Associate

Our client is a rapidly growing boutique Wealth Management and Fidelity Registered Investment Advisory firm located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The firm provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to affluent and ultra-affluent families, corporate executives, professionals, and business owners. They are seeking a Financial Services Associate to join their team. This person will provide exceptional client experience by having personable and professional interactions with clients, creating efficiencies in processes, and by taking initiative to support the team. This person will also become an expert in custodial management, utilizing the firm's portfolio system and CRM. They will also primarily support the wealth advisory team and serve as backup to existing client service and operations associates.

Essential Job Duties or Experience:

  • Provide organizational support to the wealth advisory team.
  • Experience opening brokerage accounts, completing services forms is mandatory.
  • Experience completing Annuity and Life Insurance applications with carriers is mandatory.
  • Cashiering with Fidelity or Schwab is a plus.
  • Develop and maintain processes to leverage the advisory team's time.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and task management.
  • Consistently track and proactively communicate progress on open items.
  • Organize and maintain client data, firm documents, and compliance-related files.
  • Respond expediently to inquiries from clients, their attorneys, and their CPAs.
  • Work to effectively manage client expectations.
  • Create, process, track, and troubleshoot account-related paperwork.
  • Learn how to create client materials and extract data from various carriers.
  • Utilize LeadCenter.AI (an Advisory Firm Salesforce CRM), for reports, client communication, and to maintain client information.
  • Participate in off-site seminars and educational events.

Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a client service-related role at a financial planning firm.
  • Experience with firm technology is a plus (Salesforce, Morningstar, Wealthscape, Orion, eMoney).
  • Demonstrated financial literacy and ability to work with numbers.
  • Strong proofreading and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain utmost discretion in working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Competency in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new software and technologies.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Base salary range ($75k-$90k), commensurate with experience.
  • Quarterly bonus opportunities up to $2,500 for meeting goals (at the discretion of management).
  • Profit Sharing, plus 401k match.
  • PTO policy: 10 days off in the first 12 months of employment, and then additional three days per year until a maximum of 20 days.
  • Four-day work schedule during the summer.
