They are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Director who is passionate about comprehensive financial planning, enjoys building meaningful client relationships, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned CFP® professional who loves presenting financial plans, solving complex planning challenges, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and teammates alike.

Position Overview

The Financial Planning Director is a key member of our advisory team and plays an integral role in helping clients navigate life's financial decisions with confidence.

This individual leads the comprehensive financial planning process from discovery through implementation, working closely with advisors to develop thoughtful recommendations tailored to each client's unique goals. The Financial Planning Director serves as both a planning expert and relationship builder, ensuring every client receives an exceptional planning experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Advice

  • Lead the comprehensive financial planning process for prospective and existing clients.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret client financial information.
  • Develop customized financial planning recommendations and strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive planning presentations and supporting analyses.
  • Present financial plans directly to clients in a clear, engaging, and approachable manner.
  • Assist clients with implementing planning recommendations.
  • Perform retirement, investment, insurance, estate, tax-aware, education, and cash flow planning analyses.
  • Collaborate with advisors on complex planning opportunities.
  • Identify planning gaps and opportunities that help clients achieve their long-term goals.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Conduct and participate in client review meetings.
  • Serve as a primary planning resource for client questions and guidance.
  • Deliver a client experience that reflects our commitment to Care.
  • Coordinate with advisors and internal team members to ensure seamless communication and follow-through.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Help improve financial planning processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Share planning expertise and best practices across the team.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, team meetings, and professional development.
  • Stay current on industry trends, planning strategies, and technology to continually enhance the client experience.

Required Qualifications

  • CFP® certification (required)
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license
  • Active FINRA Series 66 license
  • Active Life & Health Insurance licenses
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Five or more years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field
  • Experience preparing and presenting comprehensive financial plans
  • Strong relationship management and client communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
