Associate Wealth Advisor

 Job Description:

Our client is a fee-only firm located in Traverse City, MI. They are seeking an Associate Wealth Advisor to join their team. The Associate Wealth Advisor is a blended role that supports a lead advisor and serves as a primary service advisor. This position manages day-to-day client relationships, assists with financial plan development and implementation, and ensures an exceptional client experience. The Associate Wealth Advisor will work closely with the managing partner, clients, and support team to provide objective, unbiased advice and proactive service across all aspects of financial planning and wealth management.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, managing and strengthening relationships through proactive, ongoing communication and service.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including reviewing paperwork, taking notes, and ensuring thorough follow-up on action items.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial planning.
  • Identify and coordinate solutions for client needs across investments, tax, estate, and related planning areas. This includes researching, gathering data, and coordinating with clients' external professionals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records and support client onboarding, account servicing, and special projects.
  • Participate in executing and rebalancing client portfolios to support investment objectives.
  • Promote firm services and consistently uphold high standards of client experience.
  • Begin to build Centers of Influence (COI) networks and participate in community engagement.
  • Collaborate with management on firm initiatives and internal responsibilities.
  • Offer ideas and solutions to enhance team performance and advance firm goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or client service within the financial services industry.
  • CFP designation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with financial planning, CRM, portfolio management, and document management software.
