The Assistant Banquet Service Manager assists in overseeing banquet operations by ensuring efficient service execution, excellent guest experience, and smooth coordination of events. This role supports the Banquet Service Manager in supervising banquet staff, managing event requirements, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage service at Quest Plus Conference Center Clark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Banquet Service Manager in planning, organizing, and executing banquet events and functions.
  • Supervise and coordinate banquet service operations to ensure smooth and timely event execution.
  • Lead, train, and guide banquet service staff in delivering excellent guest service.
  • Ensure proper setup, arrangement, and breakdown of banquet venues based on event requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Kitchen, F&B, and other departments to ensure all event details are properly executed.
  • Monitor food and beverage service quality, presentation, and compliance with service standards.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and communicate event details, guest requirements, and service expectations to the team.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and special arrangements professionally and promptly.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory, equipment, supplies, and operational needs for banquet functions.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and company standards during events.
  • Support cost control initiatives by minimizing wastage and ensuring proper resource utilization.
  • Prepare event reports, monitor service performance, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications:

    • Graduate of Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism, or any related field.
    • At least 2–3 years of experience in banquet operations, F&B service, or hotel events, with supervisory experience preferred.
    • Experience in hotel, resort, or conference center banquet operations is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of banquet setup, food and beverage service standards, and event execution.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
    • Customer-focused with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
    • Proficient in basic computer applications and banquet/event documentation.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
